The City of Georgetown is partner with the Texas Department of Transportation, Williamson County, and Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization on a number of new transportation projects in Georgetown. These projects often are funded from multiple sources such as county, state, and federal revenue or sales tax revenue from the Georgetown Transportation Enhancement Corporation. Those projects include FM 971 and Hwy. 29 improvements.
